Herring Family

The Herring Family had a combination Christmas card session/ Family session at my studio. Their daughters (age 4 1/2 and 5 months) did a great job hamming it up for the camera.  I think I see a bright future in modeling for their older one! She has that, hands-on-your-hip and head-tilted-to-the-side look down pat!

Harber Girls

Boy do I love shooting portraits when the leaves are changing! The beautiful colors were the perfect setting on our photo shoot in South Georgia.  The Harber Girls all love their Momma, and it shows!

We just had to get a shot by the pool. Lots of fun memories were made here!

The girls just had to get a photo with one of their favorite aunts!

McArthur Family

The McArthurs have a big, beautiful yard that was the perfect setting for their lively kids on this fall day. Everyone had a lot of energy, especially the four year old twins who loved having a "dance party" for me during the photo shoot.  Looks like fun, huh?

Christmas Mini Sessions Nov. 10

Christmas mini sessions will be in my Bogart studio on Nov. 10. A disc of 10-15 high-resolution images and online gallery are included with the session fee of $100. Baby Owen

 My sweet baby is here!  Born in early September.  He's a handsome little fella and I thoroughly enjoyed capturing his first few days as a newborn with my family.

 

 We got some stick-on mustaches at church recently at one of their activities.  I couldn't resist trying one out on him.  What a little man!

Maternity Leave: Aug to Nov

I am going to be having a baby soon and am taking some time off for maternity leave from August to November. During this time I will not be doing any photo shoots so that I can spend time with my family. I will probably be doing some Christmas card sessions in my studio starting in mid-late November though. And of course I'll be posting newborn photos of my little pipsqueak when it arrives. Stay tuned!

Baby Geri

There are a lot of things that get me excited... homemade ice cream, a new episode of So You Think You Can Dance, and of course getting out of school for the summer.  But nothing can compare to the excitement of knowing my younger sister has just had her first baby!  I got to meet and hold baby Geri for the first time this weekend and see how awesome Allie and Matt are as parents.  I am so proud of them and it is so cool to see them taking care of her.  I brought them some homemade focaccia and chocolate chip cookies for lunch before we had our newborn photo shoot in their living room. The space was tight, but we had just enough room for my backdrops, lighting equipment, and props.

Matt is a musician with Piper Street Sound so we wanted to add some instruments into the photo shoot because music is going to be a big part of Geri's life from now on!

I lucked out when Geri surprised us with this cute lil' smile at just the right moment!

This is the doll bed Allie and I used to play with when we were little girls.  It was special to be able to use it again with Allie's own daughter.  Isn't that what little girls dream about though? Being able to play with a real baby, especially one as cute as Geri!

Baby Madelyn

Baby Madelyn is here! The whole family came to her photo shoot. Aren't they a good looking bunch?!

You can tell that her big sister is really sweet on her... Dad too!

I love that little grin.

A little bit of sass and a lot of sweetness made a really cute combo in this portrait of the two girls.

You can't tell by the way they are sitting but their shirts say "Big Sister" and "Little Sister."  So sweet!
